The authors discuss the relationship between fuzzy ideals and fuzzy congruences of a distributive lattice L and prove that for a generalized Boolean algebra the lattice of fuzzy ideals is isomorphic to the lattice of fuzzy congruences. They consider the products of fuzzy ideals and obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a fuzzy ideal on the direct sum of lattices to be representable as a direct sum of fuzzy ideals of each lattice.
