Let \(MG_{g,n}^{\mathfrak v}\) denote the moduli space of isometry classes of metric graphs of genus \(g\) with \(n\) marks on vertices, and let \(TM_{g,n}\) be that of tropical curves of genus \(g\) with \(n\) marked points. In this paper, the author studies the homotopy type of the moduli space \(MG_{g,n}^{\mathfrak v}\) for the case \(g=1\) and he proves that it is homotopy equivalent to the moduli space \(TM_{1,n}\) by giving the explicit homotopy equivalences. His main method is based on the \textit{scanning} homotopy. He also conjectures that there will be a homotopy equivalence \(MG_{g,n}^{\mathfrak v}\simeq TM_{g,n}\) for \(g>1\).
