The authors study difference equations for sequences \(x(n)\) where \(n\geq n_0\) is in \(\mathbb{N}\). The difference equations are of second order in the sense that they contain a difference term \(\Delta[a(n)\Delta[x]](n)\) where \(\Delta[x](n)=x(n+1)-x(n)\). The class of equations studied is a generalization of equations of the form \(\Delta[a(n)\Delta[x]](n)+p(n)x(g(n))=0\). The authors establish the existence of uncountably many bounded non-oscillatory solutions \(x(n)\). The proof is constructive using the Mann iterative sequence. Uncountably many solutions are constructed by varying a parameter \(L\) in this Mann iteration. It is difficult to see how the examples in the section `Applications' could have arisen in applications (and none are mentioned).
