Factorizations of EP Banach space operators and EP Banach algebra elements (Q2431222): Difference between revisions

The objective of this article is to characterize EP Banach space operators and EP Banach algebra elements using factorizations of the form \(a=bc\), \(a^{\dag}=sa\) and \(a=ucv\). The author extends classical results due to Djordjević, Koliha, Straskaba and Drivaliaris, Karamasios, Pappas by adapting the proofs. The obtained results generalize well-known characterizations of EP matrices, EP Hilbert space operators and EP \(C^{\ast}\)-algebra elements.
