In continuity with their previous investigations on the lattice \((q(X), \subseteq)\) of quasi-uniformities on a set \(X\), improving their earlier results, in this note the authors show that the Pervin quasi-uniformity (resp. the well-monotone quasi-uniformity) of an infinite topological \(T_1\)-space does not have a complement in \((q(X), \subseteq)\). They also establish that a hereditarily precompact quasi-uniformity inducing the discrete topology on an infinite set \(X\) does not have a complement in \((q(X), \subseteq)\). Moreover, they exhibit an example of a quasi-uniformity \(\mathcal P\) on a set \(X\) having a complement \(\mathcal W\) in \((q(X), \subseteq)\) such that there is no minimal complement of \(\mathcal P\) coarser than \(\mathcal W\). They further prove that for any infinite cardinal \(k\), each non-indiscrete uniformity on a set \(X\) inducing a \(k\)-resolvable topology has at least \(2^{2^k}\) many complements in \((q(X), \subseteq)\).
