By generalizing results due to \textit{S. Wright} [J. Number Theory 128, No. 4, 918--925 (2008; Zbl 1167.11006)], the author proves the following result: Every nonempty finite set \(S\) of positive natural numbers is a set of quadratic residues for infinitely many primes of the form \(\lfloor n^c \rfloor\) for some given number \(c\) with \(1 \leq c \leq 243/205\). Indeed the number of such primes grows asymptotically as a constant (depending on \(S\) and \(c\)) times \(x/\log x\). A similar result (under stronger assumptions on \(S\)) holds for quadratic nonresidues.
