The authors study extended quasi-homogeneous polynomial systems \[ \dot{x}=Q(x), \] where \(x\) is a 3-dimensional vector. The definition of an extended quasi-homogeneous polynomial vector field is too heavy; we refer the reader to the original text and note that the 3-dimensional Lotka-Volterra system (with a particular choice of parameters) is an example of an extended quasi-homogeneous polynomial system. For such systems, the authors obtain bounds for the number of isolated closed orbits.
