This paper concerns hybrid-type integro-differential equations. The main aim of the paper is to provide existence/uniqueness theory for the problems under weaker assumptions that is provided by the existing literature. The approach is to use Dhage iteration, and to prove the results under assumptions of partial compactness and partial Lipschitz continuity. The authors point out that the usual assumption of compactness and Lipschitz continuity is a very strong assumption for this type of problem and that these weaker assumptions may be more realistic. Examples are provided to illustrate both the results and the other points made by the authors.
