In the paper, the author finds the estimation of the principal eigenvalue \(\lambda\) of the complex Laplacian \(\mathrm{tr}(\partial\overline{\partial})\) on a compact Hermitian manifold \((M,h)\) with Kähler form \(\omega\). Using the fact that \(\mathrm{tr}(\partial\overline{\partial})=\frac12\Delta+\xi(\nabla f)\) where \(-2\xi=\eta+\overline{\eta}\) and \(\partial\omega^{n-1}=\eta\wedge \omega^{n-1}\) the author gets first the estimation for the principal eigenvalue of the drift Laplacian \(\frac12\Delta+\xi(\nabla f)\) for any 1-form \(\xi\). Then using the results of Yang and Zheng, the author finds the main estimate \(\lambda\geq C\) where \(C\) depends only on the dimension \(n\), the diameter \(d\), the Ricci curvature and the curvature of the Levi-Civita and Chern connections. The author also considers several classes of Hermitian manifolds where the estimation can be expressed solely in terms of Riemannian geometry.
