Hardy-Berndt sums are analogous to Dedekind sums, and they occur in the transformation formulas of the logarithms of the classical theta functions. In this paper the author introduces generalizations of Hardy-Berndt sums, which involve higher order Euler and Bernoulli functions. He uses the Fourier series technique to derive linear relations for these sums. These relations yield reciprocity formulas for generalized Hardy-Berndt sums and give rise to generalizations for some Goldberg's three-term relations. The paper also contains an elementary proof for the Mikolás linear relation and the reciprocity formula expressed in terms of the generalized function.
