Under the frame of a Riemannian surface (which is Euclidean near infinity) endowed with a negative curvature and satisfying two meaningful conditions, the author provides a lower bound of the number of nodal domains (in a bounded domain) associated to an eigenfunction of the Laplace-Beltrami operator. The author furnishes an optimal lower bound for special cases.
