The authors characterize those operators \(T\) acting on a complex separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space satisfying that Weyl's theorem holds for \(f(T)\) for each function \(f\) analytic on some neighborhood of the spectrum of \(T\). They also prove that for any operator \(T\) and \(\varepsilon>0\), there exists a compact operator \(K\) with norm less than \(\varepsilon\) such that Weyl's theorem holds for \(T+K\).
