Let \(P_n^{\alpha,\beta}\) denote the classical Jacobi polynomials. If \(\alpha,\beta\in\mathbb{C}\) and \(\beta=\overline{\alpha}\), \(\alpha\not\in\mathbb{R}\), they are called pseudo-Jacobi polynomials and they constitute a finite system of polynomials (see [\textit{R. Koekoek} et al., Hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials and their \(q\)-analogues. Berlin: Springer (2010; Zbl 1200.33012)]). In the present paper the authors revise the orthogonality and quasi-orthogonality properties of the Pseudo-Jacobi polynomials and also provide a very complete study of their zeros. Namely, they establish asymptotics, bounds and results on the monotonicity and convexity of the zeros for some special values of the parameters \(\alpha=a+bi\). | |||
