Let \((X,p)\) be a complete partial metric space in the sense of [\textit{S. G. Matthews}, Ann. N. Y. Acad. Sci. 728, 183--197 (1994; Zbl 0911.54025)]. The authors prove some common fixed point results for two and four self-mappings in \((X,p)\). In the first case no commutativity or compatibility assumptions are needed. Several consequences are derived. The paper lacks serious examples.
