The discontinuous finite volume method is applied to the solution of an elliptic boundary value problem and its convergence is investigated under an assumption of low regularity. Error estimates in a mesh-dependent energy norm and in \(L_2\) norm are derived. The theoretical error estimates are compared with numerical results for problems with a corner singularity and intersecting interfaces.
