This paper focusses on the numerical approximation of the periodic nonlocal Cahn-Hilliard equation. A convex splitting scheme which is first-order-in-time and second-order-in-space is derived. The unconditional unique solvability, energy stability and a stability of the scheme are shown. Using the a priori stabilities, the error estimates of the scheme are proven without any requirement of point-wise boundedness of the numerical solution, or a Lipschitz assumption for the nonlinear term. Numerical tests confirming the theoretical predictions are shown. | |||
