Various group-measure space theoretic versions of Lück's amenability conjecture are investigated and it is proved that the amenability of a discrete group is equivalent to the dimension flatness of certain ring inclusions naturally associated with a measure preserving action of the group. Some necessary and sufficient conditions of the amenability of a discrete group in terms of groupoids and groups are theoretically proved. In the following parts of the paper, some necessary notions from the theory of discrete measured groupoids are recalled and some necessary homological algebraic results are developed to obtain the main results and finally the main results are proved. | |||
