In this paper, the authors study the Böröczky configurations of twelve and 15 lines, respectively. Incidences of points and lines can be explained either synthetically by a variant of Pappus Theorem or algebraically. A straightforward computation shows that the twelve-line configurations are parameterized by an open subset of \((\mathbb{P}^1(\mathbb{R}))^3\). The inadmissible singular configurations are described explicitly. The case of the 15-line configurations is more involved. They are parameterized by an elliptic curve and contain only finitely man rational configurations all of which are inadmissible. Results of this paper suggest further research topics pertaining to the genus of Böröczky configuration with more lines and the constraints on point-line configurations imposed by rationality.
