Similar to the well known Calabi construction in affine differential geometry, it is possible, starting from two Lagrangian immersions to construct a new Lagrangian immersion in a complex space form (with non vanishing holomorphic sectional curvature) using a suitable Legendre curve in the \(3\)-sphere. If this Legendrian curve is a suitable \(W\)-curve the authors call the immersion a Calabi product Lagrangian immersion. The authors characterise Calabi products that are minimal, or Hamiltonian minimal, or have parallel second fundamental form in terms of the original immersions. This characterisation can be considered as a first step in order to obtain an elementary proof of Naithoh's classical classification of all parallel Lagrangian submanifolds. | |||
