Recently, studies pointed out that the theory of \(m\)-th root Finsler metrics plays an important role in physics, the theory of space-time structure, gravitation, general relativity and seismic ray theory. The present paper is devoted to locally dual flat metrics of this kind, a notion useful in information theory. Also, the Antonelli ecological metric is carefully studied. An important result is that an \(m\)-th root metric of isotropic mean Berwald curvature is in fact a weakly Berwald metric.
