The main goal of the present paper is to give the more general theory of operator-valued martingale transforms (ovmt). More precisely, the ovmt inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces are proved. These results show that vector-valued martingale inequalities in rearrangement function spaces heavily rely on both the Boyd indices of the rearrangement function space and the geometrical properties of the underlying Banach space. Finally, the author extend the Fefferman and Stein theorem on the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator to the martingale version in the frame of rearrangement invariant function spaces.
