In this, third, paper of the series, the authors establish various connections between quantum groups and supergroups associated to bar-consistent anisotropic super Cartan datum by constructing an automorphism (which the authors call a twistor) in the setting of covering quantum groups. It is proved that the canonical bases of the halves of quantum groups and supergroups match under the twistor up to powers of \(\sqrt{-1}\). Further, it is proved that the modified quantum group and supergroup are isomorphic over the rational function field with adjoint \(\sqrt{-1}\). Consequently, one obtains an equivalence of categories of weight modules for quantum groups and supergroups. The authors also define an extended covering quantum group with enlarged Cartan subalgebra and construct its twistor. Part I, see Transform. Groups 18, No. 4, 1019--1053 (2013; Zbl 1359.17023); Part II, see Represent. Theory 18, 278--309 (2014; Zbl 1359.17024) and Part IV, see Math. Z. 278, No. 1--2, 493--528 (2014; Zbl 1364.17015).
