The author studies 2-D outer billiards on the Penrose kite, which is a special bounded convex set. Although the dynamical system is a 2-D system, the author was able to prove that it admits a 3-D compactification, with a renormalization scheme. The work in this paper is a great contribution in the understanding of the Moser-Neumann question, which asks whether an outer billiards system can have unbounded orbits. More precisely, it was proved here that these outer billiards do not only have unbounded orbits, but the union of the unbounded orbits has Hausdorff dimension 1.
