The author uses the Darbo fixed point theorem (involving measures of noncompactness) to show that the nonlinear perturbed integral equation of the form (1) \(x(t)=1+x(t)\int^ 1_ 0k(t,s)a(s)x(s)ds\) \(+\int^ 1_ 0F\bigl(t,s,x(t),x(s)\bigr)ds\) possesses a solution in the space of continuous or Hölder continuous functions on the interval [0,1]. Moreover, it is shown that the equation (1) has two solutions provided the functions involved satisfy some assumptions. In the reviewer's opinion there are a few unclear places in the paper.
