The authors consider a Stein manifold \(M\) that is constructed as follows: Let \(Q_0\) and \(Q_1\) be closed connected Riemannian manifolds of the same dimension. The plumbing of the co-disc bundles of \(Q_0\) and \(Q_1\) has the structure of a Liouville domain such that \(Q_0\) and \(Q_1\) are Lagrangian submanifolds. The completion of the Liouville domain is \(M\). Denote by \(\mathcal F_0(M)\) the Fukaya category of closed exact Lagrangian submanifolds in \(M\) which are spin and have vanishing Maslov class. The authors show that \(\mathcal F_0(M)\) is generated by \(Q_0\) and \(Q_1\) provided that \(\dim M\geq 6\). The proof consists of two steps. In the first step, it is shown that the subcategory of the wrapped Fukaya category that corresponds to the closed exact Lagrangian submanifolds is generated by any pair of cotangent fibres which correspond to the summands of the plumbing and are disjoint from the plumbing region. In the second step the authors show that the objects of \(\mathcal F_0(M)\) are equivalent to twisted complexes over \(Q_0\) and \(Q_1\) equipped with local systems. Various applications to the topology of exact Lagrangian submanifolds are given. Most notably every exact Lagrangian submanifold of \(A_2\)-Milnor fibres with vanishing Maslov class is a homology sphere and lies in a primitive homology class.
