Let \({\mathcal A}=\mathbb{Z}[v,v^{-1}]\) be the ring of Laurent polynomials in an indeterminate \(v\) with integer coefficients. In a previous paper [J. Algebra 252, No. 1, 27-64 (2002; Zbl 1062.16030)], the author introduced a tabular algebra \(\mathbf A\), which is an associative \(\mathcal A\)-algebra equipped with a distinguished basis (called tabular basis) and satisfying certain axioms. In the paper under review, the author further introduces the standard modules for a tabular algebra. These modules are constructed by suitable tensoring of the cell modules for \(\mathbf A\), the latter are analogous to the representations arising from the Kazhdan-Lusztig cells of a Coxeter group. Based on the results by \textit{J.-y. Shi} [in J. Algebra 179, No. 2, 607-621 (1996; Zbl 0841.20048)] and \textit{N.-H. Xi} [in Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 749 (2002; Zbl 1001.20041)], the author shows that a certain extended affine Hecke algebra \({\mathcal H}(A_{n-1})\) of type \(A_{n-1}\) is a tabular algebra, and that the Kazhdan-Lusztig basis \(\mathbf B\) in this case serves as a tabular basis for \({\mathcal H}(A_{n-1})\). The author further shows that the standard modules associated to the pair \(({\mathcal H}(A_{n-1}),\mathbf B)\) agree with the standard modules \({\mathcal K}_{u,s,\rho}\) in the sense of \textit{G. Lusztig} [J. Fac. Sci., Univ. Tokyo, Sect. I A 36, No. 2, 297-328 (1989; Zbl 0688.20020)].
