A global version of the Darboux normal form theorem for a Kähler symplectic form \(\omega\) on a simply connected complete Kähler manifold of non-positive sectional curvature was proved by [\textit{D. McDuff}, J. Differ. Geom. 28, No. 3, 467-475 (1988; Zbl 0632.53058)]. Following this result the author studies the symplectic geometry of submanifolds of a Kähler manifold \(P\) with non-positive curvature. She shows that a totally geodesic symplectic submanifold \(Q\) of \(P\) is symplectomorphic to a linear subspace of \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\) and if \(Q\) is isotropic with respect to \(\omega\), \(\dim Q = k\), then the triple \((P,Q,\omega)\) is symplectomorphic to \((\mathbb{R}^{2n},\mathbb{R}^ k,\omega_ 0)\), where \(\mathbb{R}^ k\) is an isotropic linear subspace of \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\), and \(\omega_ 0\) is a standard Darboux symplectic form on \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\).
