The author proves that for any prime \(p\neq 5\), \((p+2+\sqrt{p^ 2+4p})/2\) is the fundamental unit of \(\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{p^ 2+4p})\). Moreover he proves that for all \(k\in\mathbb{N}\) and for almost all primes \(p\), \((kp+2+\sqrt{k^ 2p^ 2+4kp})/2\) is the fundamental unit of \(\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{k^ 2p^ 2+4kp})\).
