An impulsive delay differential equation of the kind \[ \begin{aligned} & (a(t)|x'(t)|^{\alpha-1} x'(t))'+f(t,x(t),x(t-\tau))=0,\quad t\neq t_k,\\ & x(t^+_k)=I_k (x(t_k)),\quad x'(t^+_k)=\widehat I_k(x'(t_k)),\\ & \alpha,\tau>0,\quad 0<t_1<t_2<\dots,\quad \lim t_n=\infty,\quad n\to \infty,\end{aligned} \tag{1} \] is considered. Sufficient conditions on every solution to (1) to be oscillatory are derived. Interesting examples are given.
