The authors use orthogonal rationalized Haar functions (RHF) with magnitude of integral powers of \(2\) to solve second-order ordinary differential equations. The rationalized Haar transform reduces the problem to a set of algebraic equations by expanding \(y''(t)\) in a series of RHF. The operational matrix of integration and product operational matrix are then used to evaluate the coefficients of the series. Applications show the computational advantage of the method.
