Let \(k\) be a field of characteristic zero. Let \(dgcu(k)\) resp. \(dglie(k)\) denote the category of unital differentially graded coalgebras resp. the category of differentially graded Lie algebras. There is a couple of adjoint functors \(({\mathcal L},{\mathcal C})\) \[ {\mathcal L}:dgcu(k)\rightleftarrows dglie(k):{\mathcal C} \] defined by \textit{D. G. Quillen} (1) [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 90, 205-295 (1969; Zbl 0191.53702)]. In a previous paper [\textit{V. Hinich}, Commun. Algebra 25, 3291-3323 (1997; Zbl 0894.18008)] the author has shown that the category \(dglie(k)\) admits a simplicial closed model category structure in the sense of \textit{D. G. Quillen} [``Homotopical Algebra'', Lect. Notes Math. 43 (1967; Zbl 0168.20903)]. Generalising the model structure defined by Quillen (1) on the category of 2-reduced unital coalgebras (which is one of the models for simply connected rational homotopy types) the author provides the category \(dgcu(k)\) with the structure of a simplicial closed model category such that the pair of adjoint functors \(({\mathcal L},{\mathcal C})\) induces an equivalence of the corresponding homotopy categories.
