Minimal blocking sets in projective spaces of square order (Q5947246): Difference between revisions

In this paper minimal \(m\)-blocking sets of cardinality at most \(\theta_m+\theta_{m-1}\sqrt q\), \(\theta_i=(q^i-1)/(q-1)\), in \(PG(n,q)\), \(q\geq 16\) are characterized to be \((t,2(m-t-1))\)-cones for some \(t\), with max\(\{-1,2m-n-1\}\leq t\leq m-1\). Also the smallest \(m\)-blocking sets generating \(PG(n,q)\), \(2m\geq n\geq m\) are found.
