    Let \(p>1\) and let \(\mathcal A:\mathbb R^n\times\mathbb R^n\rightarrow\mathbb R^n\) be a Carathéodory function, with \(\mathbb A(x,0)=0\) and \(\mathbb A(x,\cdot)\) continuously differentiable away from the origin, for almost every \(x\in\mathbb R^n\). Assume that, for some positive constants \(\Lambda_0,\Lambda_1\), \[ \langle\mathcal A(x,\xi)-\mathcal A(x,\eta),\xi-\eta\rangle\geq\Lambda_0(|\xi|^2+|\eta|^2)^{\frac{p-2}{2}}|\xi-\eta|^2, \] \[ |\mathcal A(x,\xi)-\mathcal A(x,\eta)|\leq \Lambda_1|\xi-\eta|(\|\xi\|^2+|\eta|^2)^{\frac{p-2}{2}}, \] for all \(\xi,\eta\in\mathbb R^n\) and for almost every \(x\in\mathbb R^n\), and that \(\mathcal A\) satisfies the \((\gamma,R_0)\)-BMO condition, with exponent \(\tau>0:\sup_{y\in \mathbb R^n,0<r\leq R_0}(\frac{1}{|B_r(y)|})\) \[ \int_{B(y)}\left[\Upsilon(\mathcal A,B_r(y))\right]^\tau)^{\frac{1}{\tau}}\leq \gamma, \] where \(\Upsilon(\mathcal A,B_r(y)):=\sup_{\xi\in\mathbb R^n\setminus\{0\}}\) \(\frac{\left|\mathcal A(x,\xi)-\frac{1}{|B_r(y)|}\int_{B_r(y)}\mathcal A(z,\xi)dz\right|}{|\xi|^{p-1}}\), and \(B_r(y)\) is the ball centered at \(y\), with radius \(r>0\). For the solutions \(u\in W_0^{1,p}(\Omega)\) of the boundary value problem \[ \begin{cases}\operatorname{div}\mathcal{A}(x,\nabla u)=\operatorname{div}(|\mathbf f|^{p-2})\mathbf f,\quad & \text{in }\Omega, \\ u=0\quad & \text{in }\partial \Omega,\end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain satisfying a \((\gamma,R_0)\)-Reifenberg flatness condition, and \(\mathbf f:\Omega\rightarrow\mathbb R^n\) is a given vector field, the authors establish a global gradient estimate of the type \[ \|\nabla u\|_{L_w(q,t)(\Omega)}\leq C\|\mathbf f\|_{L_w(q,t)(\Omega)}.\tag{1} \] Here, \(q\geq p\), \(L_w(q,t)(\Omega)\) is the weighted Lorentz space with weight \(w\), and the weight \(w\) belongs to the Muckenhoupt class \(A_{q/p}\). As pointed out by the authors, for \(q>p\) the estimate \((1)\) has already been obtained in [\textit{T. Mengesha} and \textit{Nguyen Cong Phuc}, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 203, No. 1, 189--216 (2012; Zbl 1255.35113)]. The main contribution of this paper is, then, the extension of the gradient estimate \((1)\) to the end point case \(q=p\), that is to the case of weights in the Muckenhoupt class \(A_1\).
