In the theory of phase transitions, universality means that in the thermodynamic limit different systems show common properties close to criticality. Power-law random graphs are graph sequences where the fraction of nodes that have \(k\) neighbors is proportional to \(k^{-\tau}\) for some \(\tau>1\). In the paper the authors investigate universality for spin systems on power-law random graphs displaying phase transitions. The critical behavior for inhomogeneous versions of the Curie-Weiss model is studied. Under some conditions on parameters of the model the authors identify the critical temperatures, exponents and a non-classical limit theorem for the total spin at the critical point. The analysis of the critical behavior is given depending on the number of finite moments of the weight distribution.
