For the crystallographic groups of a semidirect product form \(\Gamma =\mathbb Z^n \rtimes_\rho \mathbb Z/p\) with an ``free a away from the origin'' action (Condition 0.1) action \(\rho\) of \(\mathbb Z/p\), for a prime \(p\), on \(\mathbb Z^n\), the authors give a detailed computation of the topological \(K\)-theory \(K_*(C_r^*(\Gamma))\) of the complex group C*-algebras \(C_r^*(\Gamma)\) (Theorem 0.3) and the same ones \(KO_*(C_r^*(\Gamma; \mathbb R))\) of the real group C*-algebras \(C_r^*(\Gamma; \mathbb R)\) (Theorem 0.6). They are free abelian groups in the complex group C*-algebra case and some extensions of the real \(K\)-theory \(KO_{2*}(\underline{B}\Gamma)\) of the classifying spaces in the real group C*-algebras case. These crystallographic groups satisfy the unstable Gromov-Lawson-Rosenberg Conjecture (Theorem 0.7).
