This paper is concerned with the traveling front solutions of a reaction-diffusion system with KPP nonlinearity in a cylindrical domain in the presence of a shear flow. The author first introduces auxiliary systems with variable nonlinearity, and analyzes the auxiliary systems via principle eigenvalue problems. By some useful estimations, the limit systems are studied. Moreover, in 2-dimensional case, the author presents the minimal wave speed of traveling front solutions satisfying proper asymptotic boundary conditions. In particular, the author tries to model the different effects of heat loss from the viewpoint of spatial propagation.
