A Leibniz-Poisson algebra is an algebra \(A\) over a field \(K\) with two multiplications \(\cdot\) and \(\{,\}\) such that \(A\) is an associative commutative algebra with 1 with respect to \(\cdot\), a Leibniz algebra with respect to \(\{,\}\), and \(\{a\cdot b,c\}=a\cdot\{b,c\}+\{a,c\}\cdot b\), \(\{c,a\cdot b\}=a\cdot\{c,b\}+\{c,a\}\cdot b\) for all \(a,b,c\in A\). As in the case of algebras with one multiplication one can define varieties of algebras, multilinear polynomial identities, codimension and cocharacter sequences, etc. In the paper under review the author presents a complete description of the varieties of Leibniz-Poisson algebras with polynomial growth of the codimension sequence. He gives two equivalent conditions. Over a field of characteristic 0, a variety \(V\) of Leibniz-Poisson algebras has polynomial growth of the codimension sequence if and only if: (i) \(V\) satisfies the polynomial identity \(\{x_1,y_1\}\cdot\ldots\cdot\{x_s,y_s\}=0\) for some \(s\) and the algebras \(A^2\) and \(B^2\) do not belong to \(V\). Here \(A^2\) and \(B^2\) are two explicitly given Leibniz-Poisson algebras of dimension 3 and 2, respectively; (ii) There exists a constant \(C\) such that in the cocharacter sequence of \(V\) the multiplicities \(m_{\lambda}\) of the irreducible \(S_n\)-characters corresponding to the partition \(\lambda=(\lambda_1,\ldots,\lambda_m)\vdash n\) are equal to 0 if \(n-\lambda_1>C\). As a consequence, the author has found all varieties of Leibniz-Poisson algebras with almost polynomial growth which satisfy the identity \(\{x_1,y_1\}\cdot\ldots\cdot\{x_s,y_s\}=0\).
