The authors introduce a new and interesting concept, which is called \(\omega\)-periodic limit functions. Let \(X\) be a Banach space, \(f:\mathbb R^+\to X\) be a bounded and continuous function, and \(\omega>0\). The authors call \(f\) an \(\omega\)-periodic limit function if \[ g(t)=\lim_{n\to\infty}f(t+n\omega) \] is well-defined for every \(t\in\mathbb R^+\). The authors investigate some properties of such functions. In particular, they obtain some inclusion relations of such functions with some known asymptotically periodic type functions. Finally, the existence and uniqueness of asymptotically \(\omega\)-periodic mild solutions of abstract Cauchy problem is studied.
