For a positive integer \(\beta\), let \[ c_{q, \beta}(n):= \sum_{(h, q^{\beta})_\beta = 1}e^{2\pi i n h/q^\beta} \] where \(h\) is a positive integer less than \(q^\beta\) such that \(h\) and \(q^\beta\) have no common \(\beta\)-th power divisors other than 1. For a positive integer \(k\) and real numbers \(x\) and \(y\), the \(k\)-th moment of the average of the above generalized Ramanujan sum is defined by: \[ C_{k, \beta}(x, y) := \sum_{n\leq y}\left(\sum_{q\leq x}c_{q, \beta}(n)\right)^k . \] Two of the main results of this paper provide approximations for \(C_{1, \beta}(x, y)\) and \(C_{2, \beta}(x, y)\), respectively. Two other results involve a generalization of the divisor function, namely: \[ \sigma_{z, \beta}(n):=\sum_{d^\beta | n}d^{\beta z}. \] These results describe the asymptotic behavior of \(\sum^{\prime}_{n \leq x}\sigma_{z, \beta}(n)\) and of \(\sum^{\prime}_{n \leq x}\sigma_{z_1, \beta}(n)\sigma_{z_2, \beta}(n)\), where, for an arithmetic function \(f(n)\), \(\sum^{\prime}_{n\leq x}f(n):=\sum_{n\leq x}f(n) - \frac{1}{2}f(x)\).
