    The author proves existence of global solutions to a chemotaxis model describing self-attracting particles in two space dimensions. The global existence and decay estimates of nonnegative solutions is proved under the assumption that the total mass of the initial data is smaller than \(8\pi \). The proof is based on symmetrization techniques to get the comparison of \(L^p\)-norms between the solutions of the problem and the radially symmetric self-similar solutions.
