Let the standard norm in the Sobolev space \(H^n(\mathbb{R}^d,\mathbb{C})\) be \(\|.\|_n.\) The first part of Proposition 1.1 states that, for all \(f\in H^a(\mathbb{R}^d,\mathbb{C}), g\in H^n(\mathbb{R}^d,\mathbb{C})\) and \(0\leq n\leq d/2<a,\) also \(fg\in H^n(\mathbb{R}^d,\mathbb{C})\) and there exists a constant \(K_{nad}\) such that\(\|fg\|_n \leq K_{nad}\|f\|_a\|g\|_n.\) (In the second part, there is a similar, though somewhat lengthier statement about \(n\geq a>d/2\).) The rest of the paper offers, among other things, upper bounds, and ``ground level'', ``Bessel'' and ``Fourier'' lower bounds for \(K_{nad}.\)
