Kropina metrics and Zermelo navigation on Riemannian manifolds (Q741622): Difference between revisions

In this paper globally defined Kropina spaces \(K^n\) are studied. Several times certain additional conditions are imposed and the corresponding spaces are devoted by U-\(K^n\), KU-\(K^n\) or CC-\(K^n\) spaces. It is proved that exactly the U-\(K^n\) are of constant flag curvature. This is related to the Zermelo navigation problem on a Riemann space. Conditions of topological character are found in order for the base space to admit a space U-\(K^n\) or CC-\(K^n\). It is shown that the moduli space \(\mathcal{M}_{\mathcal{K}}\) of the space \(K^{2m-1}\) consist of a single point. Finally the projectively flatness of different Kropina spaces is discussed.
