The authors discuss the influence of suspended particles on the gravitational stability of an infinite medium taking into account finite conductivity and viscosity of the medium. The authors recover Jeans's criterion for instability; this is not surprising as finite conductivity and viscosity would not be expected to change the result for an infinite medium.
