The quantum troidal \(\mathfrak{gl}_n\) alrebra \(U\) is a formal bialgebra with Drinfeld-type comultiplication, having two parameters \(q\) and \(\overline{q}\). The case \(n=1\) is also called the (Drinfeld double of) elliptic Hall algebra, Ding-Iohara-Miki algebra, and (a ceretain type of) Feigin-Oddesskii shuffle algebra. This paper studies the structure of \(U\) focusing on the shuffle algebra structure, and proves that \(U\) is isomorphic to the double shuffle algebra \(\mathcal{A}\). This result can be considered as a generalization of the isomorphism in the case \(n=1\). As stressed in the introduction, the proof is done by constructing a certain filtration of \(\mathcal{A}\), which corresponds to the slope filtration for coherent sheaves on elliptic curves in the case \(n=1\). This new filtration also yields a natural factorization theorem for the universal R-matrix of \(U\).
