This is a report about an interview the author conducted with K. O. Friedrichs in January 1982, concerning mainly a meeting of the 21 years old Friedrichs with Felix Klein on June 24, 1922. The situation of Klein at the evening of his life is described by some anecdotes, critical remarks on his policy of science are given and his estimation of the political situation in Germany in that time is mentioned.
