The paper starts with the correspondence between Monge-Ampère equations in two variables and the four-dimensional generalized complex geometry. Then it concentrates on the Monge-Ampère equations of divergent type, where the author studies the \(\bar{\partial}\) associated operator showing that the corresponding conservation laws and generating functions can be seen as generalized holomorphic objects.
