    The first antieigenvalue (or the deviation) of a bounded operator T is defined by \[ \mu_ 1(T)=\inf (Re[Tx,x])/(\| Tx\| \cdot \| x\|). \] In the article under review bounds for \(\mu_ 1(T)\) are determined. As main result a new method for the computation of antieigenvalues is presented (namely that of Lagrange multiplier).
