The paper concerns weak convergence of probability measures on the infinite simplex \[ \{x=(x_ 1,x_ 2,...)| x_ i\geq 0\text{ for all i and }\sum^{\infty}_{i=1}x_ i\leq 1\}. \] By means of weak convergence results appropriate probability measures on the infinite simplex can be defined using probability measures on the finite simplex. The authors give general conditions for convergence in the case of two particular relabelling schemes, namely ranked permutations and size- biased permutations on the finite simplex. Furthermore they point out the application of their results to problems discussed in the earlier literature.
