The concept of intuitionistic fuzzy left \(k\)-ideals of semirings is introduced. Characterizations of intuitionistic fuzzy left \(k\)-ideals of different type are discussed. This is a continuation of [\textit{J. Zhan} and \textit{W. A. Dudek}, Inf. Sci. 177, No. 3, 876-886 (2007; Zbl 1118.16031)].
