The authors study a vector-valued reaction-diffusion equation with Neumann boundary conditions on a finite interval. They find that steady-state/Hopf and Hopf/Hopf mode interactions produce heteroclinic solutions connecting at least one solution of the standing wave type. The results are obtained using equivariant bifurcation theory in the spirit of Golubitsky, Schaeffer and Stewart. The paper is carefully written and the author obviously has a good understanding of his subject.
